The Garrisons started working with the South Carolina Baptist Convention to begin planting a church. As they prepared to start a new church in Conestee, they desperately prayed for another couple to help them along in this endeavor. God placed Zach and Sydney in their lives at the perfect time, and they agreed to go out and plant a church that is now The Gathering at Conestee.

The Gathering at Conestee was born out of walking by faith in a calling and formed for the purpose of reaching more individuals with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. TGC is set out to create disciples who love God and love others.

Conestee is known for the Conestee Park and Nature Preserve. The Park and Nature Preserve are the main attractions of the community, with hundreds of people visiting each week. The Park and Nature Preserve offers miles of hiking and walking trails, some of which connect to the Swamp Rabbit Trail. The park also features a playground, an open field for games, a dog park, and five baseball fields, which are home to Greenville Little League baseball.

Conestee is ripe with opportunities to meet people, form relationships, and share the hope we all have in Jesus. The Gathering at Conestee wants to help reach people alongside the other local churches and make Conestee a community known for being rooted in Christ.
